Born on November 1, 1951, in Abéché, Chad, His Excellency Hissein Brahim is a veteran diplomat with decades of leadership in Chad’s diplomatic service and various governmental roles. He graduated from the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales in Paris, France, in 1978. His distinguished career includes roles as the Assistant Secretary-General of the Presidency of Chad with ministerial rank from 2019 to 2020, Diplomatic Advisor to the Presidency in 2018, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Chad to several European countries from 2007 to 2017. His Excellency currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
