His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Al Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, departed the Kingdom of Bahrain today following his participation in the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference, which was held under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty the King.
The conference was held under the theme “One Nation, One Shared Destiny” and was organised by Al Azhar Al Sharif, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), and the Muslim Council of Elders.
The Grand Imam was bid farewell by Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference; Nawaf Mohammed Al Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments; Salman bin Isa bin Hindi, Governor of Muharraq; and Reham Abdelhameed Mahmood Ibrahim, Ambassador of Egypt to Bahrain.
