His Eminence Sheikh Ahmad bin Saud bin Saeed Al-Siyabi was born in the village of Nafaa in the Wilayat of Bidbid, the Sultanate of Oman, in 1954. He began his studies in Arabic and Islamic law before continuing his education at Al-Khuwair Mosque in Muscat from 1970 to 1973. He later pursued formal schooling and went on to earn a master’s degree in Islamic law from the University of Ez-Zitouna in Tunis. Over the course of his distinguished career, His Eminence has held numerous important positions, including Director of Quranic Schools, Director-General of the Mufti’s Office, Director-General of Islamic Affairs, Director-General of the Iftaa Office, Consultant for Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Acting Undersecretary for Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Office of the Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman.
