Born in 1980 in Najaf, Iraq, Dr. Al-Khoei is the grandson of the renowned leader of the Hawza and the supreme Shia Muslim authority, Imam Sayyid Abu al-Qasim al-Musawi Al-Khoei. He received his Ph.D. in Philosophy and Islamic Aqeedah (Creed) in 2017 from the Faculty of Da’wah and Fundamentals of Religion at the World Islamic Sciences and Education University (W.I.S.E) in Amman, specializing in Philosophy and Islamic Aqeedah (Creed). Currently, he serves as the Secretary-General of the Al-Khoei Institute and as the UNESCO Chair Professor for the Development of Interreligious Dialogue Studies at the University of Kufa. He is actively involved in numerous academic, cultural, and intellectual institutions that focus on interfaith dialogue and the convergence of Islamic sects. Additionally, he is a founding member of the Iraqi Council for Interfaith Dialogue.
