Mustafa Baju

Professor of Islamic Jurisprudence at the University of Ghardaia and Member of the High Islamic Council (HCI) in the The People's Democratic Republic of Algeria
Born in 1964 in Ghardaia, Algeria, Dr. Baju earned his State Doctorate in Fiqh and its Principles from the Emir Abd El Kader University for Islamic Sciences in 1999. Since 2005, he has served as a Director-General of Higher Education and was appointed as a member of the High Islamic Council in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria by presidential decree in 2017. He is also a member of the Scientific Council of the Research Centre of the Islamic Sciences and Civilization in Laghouat. Dr. Baju has held professorships at the College of Education in Nizwa and the College of Sharia and Law in Muscat, Oman, and was appointed as the Deputy for Education at Sultan Qaboos University in 2011. He is an active member of several academic committees and has made numerous scholarly contributions in the fields of Fiqh and the Usuluddin (Fundamentals of Religion).
