Born in 1962, His Eminence earned his Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sharia and also studied at the Hawza Ilmiyya (seminary) since 1980 and attended advanced research classes in Qom and Najaf. His Eminence also taught at the Hawza Ilmiyya for several years and is the former Director of Al-Elmain Hawza. He is currently an imam of Friday prayers at A’ali Grand Mosque and is a member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs as well as a Judge of the Court of Cassation and a member of the Supreme Judicial Council.
