Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa

President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Bahrain
His Excellency Sheikh Abdulrahman was born in 1942 in Juffair, Bahrain. He completed his early education in Bahrain and graduated from Cairo University in Egypt. His Excellency has held numerous distinguished positions, including the Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Waqf in 1975. He later served as President of the Court of Cassation and Vice President of the Supreme Judicial Council with ministerial rank in 2000. In 2003, he was appointed as a Legal Advisor to the King with ministerial rank, followed by his role as Vice President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs with ministerial rank in 2014. He ascended to his current position as President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in 2018 and joined the Muslim Council of Elders in 2020.
