Born in 1959 in Qatar, Dr. Al-Mannai obtained her Ph.D. in Sharia and Religions from Al-Azhar University. She currently serves as the Director of the Muhammad Bin Hamad Al Thani Centre for Muslim Contribution to Civilization at Hamad Bin Khalifa University. Previously, she held several prominent positions, including Member of the Qatari Shura Council, Member of the Arab Parliament, and Dean of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Qatar University. She also served as Vice President of the Qatar Red Crescent and Vice President of the Doha International Centre for Interfaith Dialogue. Additionally, she is a board member of the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs and a member of the Qatar Committee for the Alliance of Civilizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Qatar.
