His Eminence Sayyid Ali Abdul-Sahib Al-Hakim was born in 1964 in Najaf, Iraq. He completed his doctorate in Islamic Studies in 1994 and achieved the rank of Ijtihad. His previous roles include Director of the College of Ijtihad and Islamic Sciences at the Islamic University of Lebanon, Director of the First Martyr Institute for Islamic Studies, and advisor to His Eminence Ayatollah Mohammad Mehdi Shamseddine. He currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Imam Al-Hakim Foundation and as an advisor to the presidency of Supreme Islamic Shia Council in Lebanon. He has made significant contributions to interfaith dialogue and authored numerous works on contemporary intellectual and religious issues.
